King Malcolm Hotel, Dunfermline

I had a good night's sleep and was ready for the next day's adventures at the hotel. The rooms were comfortable, and the bathroom spacious and clean, although they should have never been in that state to begin with. The service was fantastic, very friendly, and helpful, providing a much more 'human' touch than other hotels. The location, despite being a bit nasty to walk through at times, was great for my needs, close to family and in a friendly environment. The dining experience was fantastic with choices on the menu, though it was a bit expensive for what it offered. The facilities were top-notch, with everything I needed available.

The hotel room had everything we needed, but it did look a bit tired. The room was spacious, with good temperature control, and the shower pressure was brilliant. However, there was nothing outstanding about the standard double room stay over.
